(Indent) The Dakota Access Pipeline would grow the US economy and jobs in a variety of ways. Oil pipeline jobs give people more spending money to build the economy. If an oil pipeline worker is spending money on housing, food, necessities, and entertainment, then other industries will grow at the same rate. More oil pipeline jobs also means more housing contractors, restaurants, grocery stores, employees, and even schools and teachers. Amy Sisk writes “That economic development is visible in New Town, N.D., which has a lot of retail” (Morning Edition, 2016). This economic development would spread if the DAPL is completed.
